BeautyTips is a jQuery tooltips plugin which uses the canvas drawing element to dynamically draw tooltips associated with an html element. You can trigger BeautyTips on hover, click, or by binding it to an event. It is highly configurable; options include corner radius, spike length / width and stroke width.
The generated balloons can auto-position based on the most available area in the current display window or they can be positioned according to an array of preferences. Content of the tooltip defaults to using the element’s “title” tag, but can be configured to use any text or HTML. Content can also be provided by an AJAX callback.
The Canvas drawing element uses same technology that is used by Google Maps so this plugin should work in all modern browsers. This includes Firefox, Safari (both desktop and iPhone), Chrome, and Opera. However, for IE support, you should use the ExplorerCanvas library created by Google to support Canvas in Explorer.
