Create Unique Looking Forms With NiceForms

NiceForms allows you to create unique looking forms by replacing most commonly used form elements with graphical elements. NiceForms is a JavaScript application that will parse the DOM tree, gets all the input fields, hides them, and positions their new graphical appearance in place. All you need to do is slice images correctly and create the CSS that holds them. Your unique look will be applied to all forms that have class “niceform”.

Niceforms works just like your regular web form. The form fields and the buttons created are fully scalable. You can specify their width through regular HTML properties such as size, cols and rows. Buttons will automatically expand to accommodate the amount of text present. Keyboard-only navigation is also supported.

One of the important aspects of NiceForms is that it requires a correctly coded form, including properly declared labels and values. There’s not much room for error and it will force you to code your forms correctly. NiceForms is fully compatible with most major browsers, with the exception of IE6.
