The Dojo Toolkit is an open source modular JavaScript library designed to ease the rapid development of cross platform, JavaScript/Ajax based applications and web sites. It is fast, robust, and provides a solid set of tools for DOM manipulation, animations, Ajax, event and keyboard normalization, internationalization and accessibility.

In addition to features available to you in the base (dojo.js), you can easily add more functionality to your application through dojo.require() calls. This will instantly place numerous great features such as drag and drop, advanced Ajax transports, string utilities, a powerful data API, and many more at your disposal.
Dojo Toolkit was started by Alex Russell, Dylan Schiemann, David Schontzler, and others in 2004 and is dual-licensed under the BSD License and the Academic Free License. You can find further information, demo & download on Dojo Toolkit Website.
